Two-player and multiplayer games to play with friends online
Matsuri has five free table games to play with friends online: Ludo for two to four players, Four in a Row, Backgammon, Reversi and 8-Ball pool. Open a table, send the invite link, and your friend joins in Telegram or in any browser, with no download or sign-up. Nobody around? Play Mocha, the hall's computer opponent. The solo games add same-board challenges and group leaderboards.
Games
8-BallPot your solids or stripes, then sink the 8 to win
LudoRoll, race your sweets home, send friends back to start
Four in a RowDrop your candies, four in a row wins
BackgammonRace your fifteen sweets home and bear them off first
ReversiTrap their sweets between yours to turn them overHow a match works
Open a table from Play with friends and send the invite link. It opens the Mini App in Telegram or the page in a browser; whoever opens it takes the free seat, and once the table is full, anyone else who opens it watches. The server holds the board and checks every move against the rules. A match is won, lost or drawn, with no score to chase, and a rematch swaps who goes first. In Telegram you need not wait on the board: when your friend moves, the bot messages you that it is your turn.
The five tables
Ludo seats two to four players, in a quick version with two sweets each, so a table of four is usually over in about ten minutes. A 6 brings a sweet out; landing on another player sends them back to start, except on the eight safe squares. A 6, a capture or reaching home rolls again, and home needs the exact count. The host can start with whoever has sat down or fill the empty seats with Mocha.
Four in a Row is played on a grid of seven columns and six rows. Drop a candy into a column in turn; four across, down or diagonally wins. Mocha looks several moves ahead and beats a casual player most of the time, but a double threat gets past her.
Backgammon follows the standard rules without the doubling cube. Each side races fifteen sweets around the board and bears them off; the server rolls the dice, doubles play four times, and a lone sweet that is hit goes to the bar.
Reversi is played on an 8 by 8 board. Every move must trap a line of the other player's sweets between the new one and one of yours, and the trapped sweets turn over. With no move you pass; when neither side can move, more sweets wins.
8-Ball uses the table and physics of the hall's solo Pool game, with bar-room rules and no called pockets. The first legal pot after the break decides solids or stripes, a foul gives the other player ball in hand anywhere, and the 8 wins only after your group is cleared.
Beyond the tables
The solo games are social too. After a run, share it: your friend gets the same board, the same pieces in the same order, with your score as the target. And in a Telegram group every game keeps that group's own leaderboard, so a whole chat can race on Sudoku or Block Puzzle all day.
