Quick action and skill games

Matsuri has five free action and skill games that fit into a short break: Candy Survivors, Candy Defense, Bubble Shooter, Pool and Mocha's Cake Tower. They play with one finger on a phone or with a mouse or keyboard on desktop, in any browser or in Telegram via @MatsuriGamesBot, with no download. Each has a daily run that is the same for everyone, so the leaderboard is a fair race.

Games

Candy Survivors

A survivor game in the style of Vampire Survivors. You only move, by dragging anywhere or with WASD and the arrow keys, and every weapon fires by itself. Candy from popped monsters levels you up, each level offers one of three upgrades, and a maxed weapon with its partner power evolves. Hold out for five minutes, then beat the candy-thief raccoon within 45 seconds to save the bakery.

Candy Defense

A vertical tower defense with a roguelike twist. Monsters march down toward Mocha's dessert counter in ten waves, with bosses at waves 5 and 10. The cream cannon and up to four turrets fire by themselves; you tap a monster to focus fire on it for five seconds and pick one of three skills at each level-up. Besides the daily stage there is a stage ladder that grows tougher as you climb.

Bubble Shooter

Aim the launcher, bank shots off the walls and match three of a colour to pop them; anything left hanging falls for a bonus. Six shots in a row that pop nothing bring the ceiling down a row. Every colour also carries its own mark, so it plays well for colour-blind players.

Pool

A solo pool puzzle: six balls, six pockets, and the goal of clearing the table in as few strokes as you can. Set spin for follow, draw or side, pull back for power and release. Every table has a par, and finishing at or under it earns three stars. The same table and physics power 8-Ball at the friends tables.

Mocha's Cake Tower

The game the hall started with: tap in rhythm to drop each layer and stack the tallest cake you can. In a Telegram group everyone's layers also build a shared group tower that grows day by day.

Questions

Do these games work on a phone?
Yes. Each one is built for one finger on a touch screen, and on desktop they play with a mouse or the keyboard.
How long does a run take?
Candy Survivors always ends within about six minutes, and a Candy Defense stage of ten waves takes a few minutes. Bubble Shooter ends when the field is cleared, a bubble crosses the line or the 300-shot limit is reached, Pool when the table is clear, and Cake Tower at the first layer that misses the stack.
Are the leaderboards fair?
The game sends only your moves and the server replays them to compute the score. Records that look out of reach for a person wait for a human review before they reach the top.
