Perevodnoy Durak
Beat, throw in, and don't be the last one holding cards
How to play
Perevodnoy Durak is the form of the Russian card game where an attack can be passed on. It has everything of podkidnoy Durak: a 36-card deck, six cards each, trumps from the bottom card of the talon, and the last player left holding cards is the durak. The difference is what the defender may do first.
- Six cards each; the card turned up under the talon names trumps. Attacking, tap any card; defending, beat it with a higher card of the same suit or with a trump, or tap Take.
- Perevodnoy: before you beat anything, you may pass the attack on with a card of the same rank (tap it, then the dashed place); the next player then defends against all of them, if they hold enough cards.
- The others throw in cards of ranks on the table, up to six a bout. When the talon is gone, players who run out are safe; the last one holding cards is the durak.
Before beating anything, the defender may add a card of the same rank as the attacking card and so pass the attack to the next player, who then has to defend against all the cards, if they hold enough to do so. Otherwise the bout goes as usual: beat each card with a higher card of its suit or a trump, or take, while others throw in ranks already on the table, up to six cards and never more than the defender held. Play the computer, one to three of them, invite friends by link, or pass one phone round; the server deals and checks every move.
