Bubble Pop
Bank off the wall, pop three of a colour
How to play
Bubble Pop is a free online bubble-popping game: aim the launcher, bank shots off the walls and pop three or more bubbles of one colour. It runs in any browser on phone or desktop and inside Telegram via @MatsuriGamesBot, with no download. The daily field is the same for everyone, and a shared run gives a friend that exact field.
A classic bubble-popping arcade puzzle. Aim the candy launcher, bank your shot off the side walls, and match three or more bubbles of one colour to pop them. Anything no longer hanging from the ceiling falls for bonus points, and popping shot after shot builds a combo. Six shots in a row that pop nothing bring the ceiling down a row (any pop resets the count): clear the field before a bubble crosses the line. Each colour has its own mark (heart, star, stripes, dot, diamond, ring), so it plays well for colour-blind players too. The daily gives everyone the same field and the same bubbles.
- Aim with the mouse (or ←/→) and click (or Space) to shoot; click the small bubble or press ↓ to swap.
- Three or more of one colour pop; anything no longer hanging from the ceiling drops for bonus points.
- Six shots in a row without a pop lower the ceiling (the dots by the shooter count down; any pop refills them): clear the field before a bubble crosses the line.
How to play Bubble Pop
The field starts with seven rows of bubbles in six colours, each marked with its own symbol, hanging from the ceiling in a honeycomb of 11 and 10 a row. The launcher fires the current bubble; it flies straight, bounces off the side walls and sticks where it touches a bubble or the ceiling. Three or more connected bubbles of one colour pop, and anything no longer attached to the ceiling falls. The next bubble is shown, swapping the two is free, and new bubbles only come in colours still on the field.
Six shots in a row that pop nothing bring the ceiling down one row; any pop restarts that count. The run is won when the field is empty and lost when a bubble ends up on or below the line. A popped bubble scores 10, a dropped one 20 plus 5 for every other bubble falling with it, up to 100 each. Popping shots in a row multiply the points by 1.5, then 2, and so on up to 4. Clearing the field adds 1000, plus 25 for every shot under 60.
Bubble Pop strategy and tips
- Drops beat pops. A falling bubble is worth at least twice a popped one, and more in a big cluster: ten bubbles dropping together pay 65 each. Look for a small group near the top that holds up a large hanging section, and cut it loose.
- Learn the bank shot. The aiming dots run only to the first wall bounce and a little past it, so judging where the rest of the path goes is your part of the skill. Banking reaches gaps a straight shot cannot.
- Treat the swap as planning, not rescue. With the waiting bubble visible and the swap free, decide each turn which of the two fits better now and which one can wait for a better spot.
- Protect the combo. Every popping shot in a row raises the multiplier toward x4 and one miss resets it, so a string of sure pops can outscore a gamble that breaks the chain, and keeps the ceiling where it is.
- Count shots near the end. A clear in under 60 shots adds 25 for every shot saved on top of the 1000 bonus, so a quick, tidy clear is worth several big drops.
Modes and difficulty
The daily field and its sequence of bubbles are the same for everyone and change at 00:00 UTC; only the first daily try counts on the leaderboard. Practice gives a new field every time, as many as you like. A friend challenge sends the same field and bubble draws, with your score as the target. A run is always played to its end, a cleared field or a bubble over the line.
Playing Bubble Pop on Matsuri
Bubble Pop takes its turn as the Matsuri Cup game in the weekly rotation, when your best practice score of the week counts toward candy and a cup badge. Every colour carries a mark (heart, star, stripes, dot, diamond, ring), so it plays well for colour-blind players. The server replays each shot to check the score, and a result shared in a chat shows one mark per shot.
A little history
The bubble shooter as most people know it comes from Taito's arcade game Puzzle Bobble (1994), a spin-off of Bubble Bobble starring the dragons Bub and Bob; in North America it was released as Bust-a-Move. Its core rules, a launcher at the bottom, bank shots off the walls and a ceiling that presses down, became the template for countless browser and phone games.

Questions
- Can I play Bubble Pop free online with no download?
- Yes. It is free in any browser on phone or desktop, with no download and no sign-up, and it also runs inside Telegram through @MatsuriGamesBot. There are no ads.
- When does the ceiling come down?
- Six shots in a row that pop nothing lower the ceiling by a row; any pop resets the count, and the dots under the launcher show how many misses are left. If a bubble ends up on or below the line the game is over; clear the field to win.
- How do I get a high score in Bubble Pop?
- A popped bubble is worth 10, but a dropped one is worth 20 plus 5 for every other bubble falling with it, so big drops pay most. Popping shots in a row multiply points up to x4, and clearing the field adds 1000 plus 25 for every shot under 60.
- Is the daily bubble board the same for everyone?
- Yes. The daily gives everyone the same field and the same bubble draws, so the leaderboard is a fair race, and the server checks every score by replaying your shots. You can also send a friend the exact same board as a challenge.
